Finally got around to posting this up. This is the low poly model I was working on before but he's all finished up and textured. I took a few artistic liberties as far as where bones and organs would normally be. He's not human though, so he doesn't need to have the same structure as us.
This is the UV map. Everything was hand painted for this one, and the resolution is only 512x512, but there's still plenty of detail to be had. My only regret is not finding a better way to cram all of those UV's much closer together. This was definitely a learning process.
